Performance Installation by Murielle Elizéon with Tommy Noonan & Benjamin Trueblood.

Je Suis Belle is a performance installation commissioned by the North Carolina Museum of art in November, 2017. Focusing on Rodin’s unparalleled ability to infuse life and tension into his renderings of the human form, the work also explores the artist’s relationship with his lover and collaborator, fellow sculptor Camille Claudel. It imagines Rodin’s sculptures as fluid living works which provide insight into the dynamic human relationships that influenced their creation. NC-based sound-artist Ben Trueblood also contributed to the project with a real-time sculptural rendering of time, bodies and sound.

Performances: November 4, 5 & 11.
